Final List of FIFA Referees for World Cup South Africa
Four of the 30 Selected are Members of The “Dallas Cup Referee Family”
FIFA recently announced the 30 FIFA referees selected for the 2010 World Cup in South Africa and the Dallas Cup is very pleased to “brag” a little as four of these referees are members of the “Dallas Cup Referee Family”.
Massimo Busacca of Switzerland, recently selected by International Federation of Football History & Statistics (IFFHS) as the best referee in the world and going to his second World Cup is joined by other “family members” Carlos Batres of Guatemala who is also headed for his second World Cup, Peter O’Leary of New Zealand who was in Dallas for the 2010 tournament and Michael Hester of New Zealand who was in Dallas for the 2009 tournament.
All of us at the Dallas Cup send our congratulations and best wishes to these four gentlemen as they make their way to South Africa later this year. As we have told them and as we tell all of our wonderful referees….
