Dallas Cup Executive Director Gordon Jago takes great pleasure in announcing that Leeds United will be returning to Dallas after last taking part in Dallas Cup XVIII (1997).  Leeds United Under 17 squad won the Academy League Championship this past May and thus an invitation to participate in Dallas Cup XXV next April.  United beat Manchester City (after extra time) who were previously unbeaten to take the championship.  As a club we were obviously delighted last season to be crowned Under 17 Champions but it made everyones day when we realized that we also qualified for Dallas Cup XXV in 2004 states Clive Richards of Leeds Academy.  All the reports we have received of the recent tournaments have been nothing short of excellent.  Kenny Wharton of Newcastle United was recently singing the praises of your competition with words like brilliant, superb, magnificent and professional continues Richards.

Jago and Tournament Manager Randy Jones will be making further announcements on additional Super Group teams in the very near future.  We know for sure that Tigres of Mexico will be returning as defending Super Group Champions and we are now holding discussions with top club teams from Brazil, Italy, Argentina, Costa Rica, Germany and Colombia to complete the 12 team Super Group says Jones.  The Silver Anniversary is planned to be something very special so everyone is encouraged to visit the Dallas Cup website frequently for the latest news.
