UPDATE: New Zealanders, Matt Conger and Anna-Marie Keighley, selected to officiate in the FIFA U20 Final and Woman's World Cup Semi-final, respectively
UPDATE: Both Matt Conger and Anna-Marie Keighley were rewarded with for their excellent officiating, as Conger was selected as the 4th Official for the U20 World Cup Final and Keighley selected to officiate the Japan vs. England Women's World Cup Semi-Final.
Two FIFA referees from New Zealand have had a busy start of the summer as they have been selected to officiate in some of FIFA’s most high-profile tournaments:the U20 FIFA World Cup and the Women’s World Cup.
Anna-Marie Keighley, a resident of Taranaki, New Zealand and a FIFA referee since 2010, returned to the Dr Pepper Dallas Cup tournament this past spring to officiate several games, including the Under 19 Final between FC Dallas and Jaguares de Chiapas of Mexico. Through the first two games of the group stage of the Women’s World Cup, she has officiated the Norway vs. Thailand and Mexico vs. England matches, as well as serving as the 4th official of the Germany vs. Norway game.

Matt Conger is also a veteran of the prestigious international youth tournament, including the 2015 Gordon Jago Super Group semi-final between River Plate and Monterrey. He was selected as one of 21 match officials to man the 52 games of the U20 FIFA World Cup, currently being hosted by Conger’s native New Zealand. He officiated the Brazil vs. North Korea and Colombia vs. Qatar matches, and also served as 4th official of the USA vs. Colombia and Nigeria vs. North Korea matches.
