Dr Pepper Dallas Cup XXXVIII (April 9 - 16, 2017) offers the most competitive international youth soccer in North America plus genuine Texas hospitality. The Dallas Cup is by invitation only and teams are selected for invitation based on their competitive performance as shown on the on-line application which is normally available in late summer for the following year’s tournament. All performance information is verified through the Dallas Cup’s worldwide network. In past years, teams and referees have traveled to Dallas from one hundred countries and six continents. Share the excitement of world class competition, make new soccer friends and enjoy a fun-filled week of activities.
In the opening round robin, beginning on Sunday with completion on Wednesday evening, teams are bracketed into groups of four and are guaranteed a minimum of three games. Group winners and/or wildcards advance to the elimination stage of the tournament. "Friendly Games" will be organized in the latter part of the week for those teams that do not advance to the elimination stage giving teams the opportunity to possibly play five matches (weather permitting and field availability) while in Dallas. All games are played on grass fields in the Dallas area, all within easy driving distance of the Dallas Cup designated hotels. The Opening Ceremonies, Super Group feature games and all finals will be held at a stadium venue. Trophies and medals are awarded to all finalists and souvenirs to all competitors. The Dr Pepper Dallas Cup is sanctioned by North Texas Soccer, the United States Soccer Federation and FIFA.
* On Opening Sunday approximately 140 teams will play their first match. It will not be known until approximately two weeks before the tournament as to which teams will play on this date so all invited teams should make their travel plans accordingly to arrive in Dallas no later than the Saturday prior to play beginning on Palm Sunday. International teams are encouraged to arrive on the Friday before play begins.

Application Entry Fee and Deadline
The tournament entry fee of $1325 USD (subject to change prior to the online application becoming available to the public) must be paid within ten (10) days of submitting the team application online through the Dallas Cup website. The entry fee will be refunded if the team is not selected for an invitation. If a team withdraws after receiving an invitation, the entry fee is forfeited. The online application is available in late summer of each year.
All entry fees will be deposited upon receipt. Deposit of the entry fee does not indicate acceptance of the team.
If a team is not selected to receive an invitation, the entry fee will be refunded. Notice of rejection by e-mail will include information concerning the refund of the team entry fee.
All teams (USA from outside the North Texas area and International) that wish to be considered for an invitation are encouraged to submit their on-line application as soon as possible after it becomes available on the Dallas Cup web site in late summer.
Applications will not be accepted after Saturday, November 31, 2016.
The application closing dates are earlier than in recent years as it is planned that the selection process of the full field of 180 teams in the seven age groups will be complete by December 22, 2015 rather than late January/early February as it has been in past years. This will allow more time for all invited teams to complete their travel and hotel arrangements and complete all of the necessary required paper work and in the case of many international teams to begin the visa procurement procedure.
The Dallas Cup reserves the right to close any of the age groups at any time prior to November 30, 2014 should the Selection Committee deem it appropriate.
