Four opening day matches at Cotton Bowl Stadium

DALLAS, Texas (Friday, March 25, 2022) – The Dallas Cup presented by Coca-Cola, the oldest and most prestigious international youth soccer tournament in North America, has announced the match-ups for 2022’s Opening Day at Cotton Bowl Stadium, along with the brackets for the six-team that make up this year’s Gordon Jago Super Group. The Super Group participants include elite teams from five countries and feature the three most recent Super Group champions. The Dallas Cup’s 43rd Tournament kicks off on April 9th with the Dallas Cup Girls’ Invitational presented by Mary Kay at the Toyota Soccer Complex in Frisco, Texas. Dallas Cup welcomed the girls’ tournament back in 2021 and have a larger and stronger field in 2022 including German side Eintracht Frankfurt and US powerhouses Real Salt Lake, Baltimore Armour, and Texas giants Solar SC, FC Dallas, and Dallas Sting.


April 10th serves up a full day of soccer action at the historic Cotton Bowl Stadium and the celebration of diversity in our sport. The four Opening Day matches will include a training match for the US Men’s National Deaf Team at 10:00 am followed at 12:30 pm by the girls’ division Eintracht Frankfurt vs FC Dallas Premier out of the U17 age division. A double-header of Super Group matches with reigning champion Tigres in a 3:00 pm match up with Dallas Cup host team and 2017 champion FC Dallas followed by the U19 National Team of EL Salvador competing at 6:45 pm against Mexican side Monterrey. In another international marquis match-up, MoneyGram Soccer Park will be hosting the 1:30 pm match between top-flight team HB Køge from Denmark squaring off against the U19 National Team of Panama marking the first time since 2010 that the Dallas Cup has hosted two U19 national teams in a single tournament draw.


The annual “Welcome World” Opening Ceremonies and Parade of Nations, featuring over 200 Dallas Cup teams, will start at 5:45 pm. Ticket prices for the Opening Day matches and festivities are $15 for adults, $5 for youths 6-12 years old, and admission is free for children under 6.
